In the period from 2005 till 2009., the Republic Institute continued with archaeological researches in the Monastery Sveti Nikola (St. Nicholas) in BanjanearPirboj. The porch of the St. Nicholas Church, the remains of the St. Elijah’s Church and the remains of the tower in the north-west part of the monastery wall encased in bricks were researched. Preliminary reports on the researches results were published in the catalogue ofthe exhibition Saint Nicholas in Dabar, Priboj, 2006., and in the periodical Saopstenja / Communications XLI, Belgrade 2009.
